Decoda Festival Artists present Brad Balliett's Arboretum The piece is comprised of simultaneously-performed solos, each based on a species of tree, that loosely cohere in surprising ways. The audience will be free to wander the green space of Warren Wilson campus and experience different facets of the work at their leisure.
The Decoda Chamber Music Festival celebrates its 10th season at its new home of Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, North Carolina, offering young pre-professional artists the opportunity to collaborate and grow alongside Decoda faculty members during an immersive, weeklong summer festival. Decoda was founded in 2012 by musicians who first collaborated as members of Ensemble Connect, a two-year fellowship program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute, in partnership with the New York City Department of Education. In recognition of its members’ ongoing success as artists, educators, and advocates for music,
Decoda is the only independent ensemble to be recognized as an affiliate ensemble of Carnegie Hall. Learn more at decodamusic.org.
