Warren Wilson College welcomes our community back to campus for Homecoming Weekend: Friday, September 29 – Sunday, October 1

We look forward to seeing alumni, faculty, staff, students, and other community members together again for a weekend of festivities and fun!

The Inauguration of our tenth WWC President, Dr. Damián Fernández, will be part of Homecoming Weekend.

Inauguration Ceremony | WWC Chapel (also streamed virtually)
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
The Warren Wilson community will celebrate the Inauguration of our tenth President, Dr. Damián Fernández.

BBQ Cochinillo Asado | Sunderland Lawn
4:30 pm - 6:45 pm
Join us for a community-wide celebration: the BBQ Cochinillo Asado! This event immediately follows the Inauguration Ceremony of President Damián Fernández. We will enjoy our traditional feast of freshly smoked pulled pork and barbecued tofu, this year
with a Cuban twist. This is a family-friendly event for the entire WWC community! Food service from 4:30 pm - 6:15 pm. Seating will be available, and we also encourage you to bring a blanket and dine picnic-style!
Cost: Adults: $15 | Children 6-12: $8 | Children 5 and under: Free

Bonfire | Homecoming Field on the Farm
7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Come get cozy by the fire while the sun sets on our valley home. We encourage you to bring a blanket or lawn chair, since limited seating will be available. Musicians- bring your instruments for a fireside jam!

Trivia | Bryson Gym
7:00 pm - 8:15 pm
Bonfire not your thing? All are welcome to this Student Activities-hosted Trivia Night.

Service of Remembrance | WWC Cemetery on Dillingham Circle
9:00 am - 10:00 am
Join us as we remember those who have gone before us in Warren Wilson College history. Gather outside the Chapel at 8:45 am if you would like to ride the shuttle to the service. Otherwise, meet at the Warren Wilson College Cemetery on Dillingham Circle at 9:00 am.

Fall Fest & Working Lands Showcase | WWC Farm & Garden
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for a family fun event on the College’s Working Lands (Farm, Garden, and Forest) with interactive activities, tours, and open houses from our land and craft crews! The Garden Crew will have the fresh cider press pumping and an interactive marigold-dye activity. We will have craft demonstrations from the Blacksmithing, Fiber Arts, and Fine Woodworking Crews. The Free Store will be open, and there will be WWC-raised meat and limited other WWC items available for sale. Doughnuts will
be available for purchase. 
Tours will take place on the following schedule:
10:15 am*: Garden Tour, Forest Tour, or Farm Tour
10:45 am: CORE Composting Demonstration
11:00 am: Lecture from Dr. Jeffrey Keith - "Seven Origin Stories in a Sentence"
11:35 am*: Garden Tour, Forest Tour, or Farm Tour

Alumni Lunch & Award Ceremony | Canon Lounge (also streamed virtually)
11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Join your classmates for a formal celebration of our alumni community. We will honor our four alumni award winners, and toast our 10th, 25th, and 50th reunion classes. Seating is limited; pre-registration is required.
Cost: $16. No day-of tickets will be available.

Art Gallery Exhibit | Elizabeth Holden Art Gallery
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The experimental media exhibition "Echos and Anomalies" will be on display, featuring works by Hogan Seidel and Gabby Sumney. Faculty and student art will also be on display in the atrium.

Women’s Soccer vs. LaGrange College | Hank Steinbrecher Athletic Complex

Join us to support the Owls! WWC Athletics will provide family fun activities.

Alpine Tower Open Climb | Alpine Tower, Across from Soccer Fields
2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Calling all adventure-seekers: come climb our Alpine Tower and enjoy the Giant Swing! Close-toed shoes are required, and operations are weather dependent. We anticipate high interest in this activity, so when you arrive you will be asked to sign up for a time slot to climb. Participants will be required to fill out a liability waiver.

The Warren Wilson College Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony celebrates the accomplishments of four players and a Team of Excellence that helped lay the foundation for past and present athletic success. Limited capacity. Pre-registration is
required.

WWC Alumni Homecoming Show | The Railyard Black Mountain
6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Join us for the 2nd Annual WWC Alumni Homecoming Show. Lineup includes performances by Jane Kramer '03, Drunken Prayer (featuring alum Morgan Greer '94), and The 40,20,10s (featuring alum Galen Holland '00). The Railyard Black Mountain
hosts a restaurant, full bar, beers on tap, and non-alcoholic beverages. All ages welcome - see you there!
