The Queer Resource Center and the Office of Inclusive Excellence will be hosting our Annual Lavender Graduation Celebration for queer seniors during Senior Week in May 2026. The date and time is Wednesday, May 6th from 4:30pm-6:00pm at the Pavilion.

"Lav Grad" intends to bring queer seniors together in community and celebration of all that you have accomplished throughout your time at WWC. Queer faculty and staff and advocates of the queer community will also be invited to participate. We hope to provide light refreshments and snacks. Queer Seniors participating in Lav Grad will have the opportunity to share remarks for 2-3 minutes. 

We understand that some queer graduates may still want a lavender cord, but may not feel safe wearing it during the Commencement ceremony. That's ok! You can still receive a lavender cord!
